Coaching and education, not medical care

I'm a certified health coach and personal trainer. I'm not a doctor, nurse, registered dietitian, licensed nutritionist, pharmacist, or licensed therapist or counselor.

Everything I share, on this website, on my blog, on social media and in coaching, is general education and wellness support. It isn't medical advice, and it doesn't replace care from your doctor or another qualified healthcare provider. I don't diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition, and I don't prescribe medication. Never start, stop or change a medication or supplement without talking to your doctor, and never delay getting medical care because of something you read here.

Working with me doesn't create a doctor-patient relationship or any other healthcare provider relationship.

Talk with your doctor first

Please check with your doctor before you change how you eat or exercise, especially if you:

If a doctor is treating you with a special diet

If a doctor is treating you for a disease or condition that needs medical nutrition care, such as diabetes, kidney disease, celiac disease or an eating disorder, your doctor or a registered dietitian should guide your nutrition. In that case, I won't give you nutrition advice. With your doctor's okay, I can still support you with movement, daily habits and faith. This doesn't apply when weight loss is the only reason your doctor is involved.

Exercise safety

Physical activity carries some risk of injury. Start slowly, warm up, use good form, and listen to your body. Stop right away and get medical help if you feel chest pain, faintness, dizziness or severe shortness of breath. You choose whether to do each exercise, and you're responsible for staying within your own limits.

Faith and emotional wellbeing

When you want faith to be part of our work, I'll offer spiritual encouragement along the way. It isn't counseling, therapy or treatment for any mental health condition.

If you're struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, disordered eating or thoughts of harming yourself, please reach out to your doctor or a licensed mental health professional.

If you're in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. In an emergency, call 911.

Your results are your own

Every body and every season of life is different. Your results depend on many things, including your health, your history, your circumstances and the time you're able to give. I can't promise or guarantee any particular result, such as a certain amount of weight loss or more energy.

About research

If I mention a study, I'll tell you where it comes from so you can read it for yourself. Research describes what happened for groups of people. It can't tell you exactly what will happen for you.

Blog and social media

My posts share general ideas that may not fit your situation. Health research keeps growing, so a post may not reflect the newest findings.

Products I recommend

Some of the products I share are affiliate links, as my Affiliate Disclosure explains. A product recommendation isn't medical advice either.
